Teaching Assistant - English Graduate

Would you like a career where you can foster and promote your love of the English subject?

Perhaps you have previous experience working or volunteering with young people, leading you to a desire to embark upon a career within education?

Do you aspire to one day becoming a qualified English teacher, but first want to explore what working within a school really feels like, before fully committing to a PGCE or other teaching training route?

This school in Sandwell is looking to recruit two English graduates for their English department to support students who may need additional support to reach their potential

Benefits:

- Graduate role
- Up to GBP300 per week
- Mon-Fri school working hours
- Great experience for aspiring teachers
- English department who are friendly & supportive
- Superb training and development
- Potential to train to teach at this school in 2018
- September start for the academic year

This outstanding Sandwell School is keen to meet with English graduates who want to gain a year's worth of paid experience in a supportive school before potentially embarking upon the school's own teacher training in 2018. In previous years the school has recruited a number of recent graduates within a range of subjects. The school has a proven track record of supporting and guiding determined and ambitious graduates in to outstanding trainee teachers the year after. From day one you will gain invaluable teaching experience. Initially your role will involve small group teaching within English interventions, helping students who are on the borderline of a grade boundary, in order to achieve their highest possible outcome. You will also be building a rapport with students who may appear disengaged, helping and supporting these students to enjoy English and find it fun and enjoyable.

You must be a driven, determined and engaging individual who has a recent English degree and looking to work in education in the future. Ideally you will have the ambition to one day become an English teacher due to your love of the subject and your desire to pass on your subject knowledge to future students.

What better way to spend the next year then by not only supporting young learners, but also gaining invaluable educational experience which will help you on your journey towards becoming a future potential English teacher?
