Analytical Sciences department based in Cambridge are looking to recruit a scientist with extensive Mass Spec experience to join their team.

Some of the responsibilities are:

  • Strong understanding of analytical biochemistry methods in protein product characterisation, including for example HPLC/UPLC (IEX, RP), Electrophoretic techniques, peptide mapping techniques, glycosylation characterisation techniques, higher order structure techniques (CD, FTIR)
  • Developing, troubling shooting and performing qualification of methods for monoclonal antibody and novel protein based products and the development of in-house technology
  • Mass spectrometric analysis, displaying competence in instrumentation and analytical techniques including evaluation of data produced
  • Working collaboratively as a member of the team to ensure CMC goals and objectives are met, ensuring efficient throughput of work and communication
  • Working according to established methods (when required) and SOP's to perform analytical testing
  • Performing equipment maintenance and calibration
  • Independently planning, designing, and executing projects within a specific scientific field utilising good scientific judgment

Essential requirement:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Extensive experience in Mass spec including analysing data
  • Proven track record gain from working in similar environments

Desired requirements:

  • A PhD degree in related areas
  • Method development and validation for Mass Spec
