6 month contract

Coordinating a range of important meetings in the Property division, you'll play a part in all kinds of exciting developments. In Property, we take care of everything from building great new stores in brilliant locations, through to extending and refurbishing existing stores. It's all about creating bright and welcoming environments that make our customers' shopping experience excellent. Now that Sainsbury's Group also includes Argos, there's never been a more exciting time for growth.

As a Governance Coordinator, you won't just make meetings happen. You'll make sure they happen in the right way. That means working closely with senior people to prepare and set agendas, keep minutes, create terms of reference, and make sure everyone attending has the paperwork they need in advance. You'll keep important databases updated with information on store proposals and investments - and you'll use them to prepare reports and spreadsheets that support the bold, game-changing decisions taken at meetings. The meetings themselves will be fascinating, with a big focus on investment and giving the green light to projects.

Joining us for 6 months, to cover a colleague who is on an interesting secondment, you'll learn a lot about property and our business. And you'll have plenty of opportunities to make a good impression on a wide range of people. We're sure you'll enjoy working in our diverse and friendly team, in a fantastic office with breakout areas and restaurant.

We're not looking for any particular qualifications. But we'll certainly expect you to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. It's also essential for you to be confident using Excel to conduct analysis, along with other Microsoft software including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Highly motivated and keen to learn, you will bring a proactive approach to the role. Crucially, you'll demonstrate great communication skills, both in person and in writing.
