General Foreman “With a strong order book and additional pipeline contracts, we are looking to recruit an experienced Civils’ General Foreman to join an established and reputable team delivering diverse and challenging projects across the UK” Site based position – UK wide £35,000- £40,000 {DOE] Car/Car allowance/Van permanent benefits An opportunity has arisen for a Civils General Foreman to join a thriving infrastructure contractor with a strong and diverse rolling programme of work associated with land remediation, earthworks, contaminated land and groundworks. Due to a growth of works and further enhanced capacities, we are looking to recruit an experienced and driven General Foreman to join and support an operation dedicated to the successful delivery of projects to agreed timescales and budgets within a safe manner. THE ROLE My client is currently looking for a General foreman to support a rolling programme of comprising of multiple contracts UK wide. The projects vary in size and duration, ranging typically from a couple of weeks to 6 months. You will be primarily responsible for the direct supervision of the work executed on site ensuring all H&S and programme documentation (RAMS, WPP, Task briefings) is carried out to specification and ensure the work is delivered to agreed deadlines. You will be expected to travel and lodge where required for sites in which the cost will be covered by the employer KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The chosen General Foreman will be responsible for: • Management of sub-contractors and labourers • Control of plant, health and safety issues • Quality Management • Completion of the necessary site paperwork • Conducting Tool Box talks • Assume responsibility for Site Inductions for new members of staff and labour • Provide the Site Manager with daily updates on work progress • Manage all Site activities in the absence of the Site Manager. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The ideal General Foreman will have the following skills and experience: Experience working within a contracting environment on projects such as civils, earthworks, land remediation or groundworks Ideally come from a Plant operator or craftsman background previously and progressed to foreman level (other routes considered) Valid SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid Proven H&S record IT literate – able to use Microsoft office and internal communication systems Flexible to travel UK wide PLEASE NOTE: To apply for this fantastic opportunity, email your CV today to or for more information on this role call me on.
