The Prince's Trust is a youth charity that helps change young lives. We give practical and financial support, developing key workplace skills, such as confidence and motivation. We work with 11 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law. We have helped more than 825,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day. More than three in four young people we helped last year moved into work, education or training. The Volunteering Executive-Talent Match supports the Princes Trust to reach the most disadvantaged young people and delivering excellent mentoring support for our young people. This role will offer a high quality 1:1 mentoring programme to the hardest to reach young people in the Colchester & Tendring areas of Essex. The mentors will support our young people to identify goals, attend programmes and achieve positive outcomes in the best and most effective way.

This post is funded by Talent Match an innovative project funded by the Big Lottery Fund matching long-term NEET young people to employment and training opportunities. The post holder will identify and engage the young people who meet the Talent Match eligibility criteria and match them to suitable mentor. The role will deliver Talent Match mentoring in line with the Princes Trust volunteer management toolkit and contractual requirements of Talent Match.

This unique role will need to recruit, retain and support of up to 120 volunteers, who deliver Talent Match mentoring. The successful candidate will need the ability to manage volunteers and an understanding of the issues that may whilst working with young people. The role requires coaching and people development skills, good planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The successful candidate needs to demonstrate experience of working within a contract management framework.

This role will involve remote working and the ability to travel across the whole of Essex.
