Purpose of Job: Operations Manager for Wanlip Anaerobic Digestion Facility to service the Leicester City PFI Contract. The position involves processing authorised waste and meeting the associated KPI's of the contract and business. Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Ensure the Health and Safety of employees in line with the procedures and H&S legislation 2. Ensure process service requirements are achieved safely and robustly 3. Provide management and leadership support for the Operational & Engineering Team 4. Ensure the effective allocation of resource such that tasks and operations are completed safely, on time and on budget 5. Deliver programmes of Continuous Improvement 6. Deliver KPI targets against contract and business objectives 7. Develop a working culture that enhances employee engagement 8. Identify areas within your control to remove cost and improve profit 9. Implement and deliver a PPM and rectifications regime to ensure plant availability at greater than 90% 10. Compliance with the Performance Monitoring Plan within the Contract 11. Follow procedures and best practice to ensure audit compliance and ISO accreditations are achieved 12. Deliver right first time Management of Change projects, on time and within budget Person Specification: Education/Qualifications: Educated in an Engineering or Scientific discipline Relevant business qualification at NVQ level 4 or above NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent formal safety qualification Six Sigma - Green Belt or above Experience: 3-years Process industry experience in an operational management role 3-years management of Environmental and Health and Safety aspects of a Process Operation Experience in Anaerobic Digestion processes Knowledge: Understands relevant industry, transport and health & safety legislation Understands how to manage people, including conflict and performance Skills: Can influence, lead and persuade others Can deal with conflict and negotiate desired outcomes Analytical and has techniques for identifying and solving problems Highly numerate and literate, both in verbal and written forms Confident and credible presenter IT literate - comfortable using business software and systems Effective time manager and self-organiser General: Full UK driving licence Able travel throughout the UK for business purposes Results and people-oriented In return we offer a competitive package, excellent benefits and real career progression.
