Corporate OverviewMassive Analytic is developing next-generation technologies to change how people interact with, make accessible and use the information in data with products Oscar and Nethra.Oscar is an analytics platform that makes big data simple by allowing any user to ask questions of the data they didn't know they could, to get insights they didn't know were there, to know the outcomes of decisions they haven't made yet. While Nethra uses deep learning to analyse video data both live and batch to predict targeted events before they occur.To handle increasing volumes of information requires ideas from every corner of computer science and experienced business professionals to bring those ideas to market.RoleAs the Data Analyst, you will support Massive analytics customers with their analytics project and help them achieve their analytics goals.Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will be responsible for the deployment of Massive Analytic's services and be the key support link between Massive Analytic and it's customers. This is a role that requires excellent customer engagement skills.Technology overview Oscar is a big data analytics platform, allowing users to rapidly discover business insights by automating advanced machine learning. The browser based analytics platform allows any user to perform advanced analytics in an interactive storydashboard, a combination of self-service, on-demand visual queries and ad hoc analytics. Oscar is built on top of a state of the art big data architecture including Spark Streaming and Hadoop. Nethra is a video analytics product that uses deep learning to analyse video data. Applicable to a variety of different scenario's and industries, Nethra can detect behaviour and automate responses to speed up reactions to varying events.ResponsibilitiesAs the Data Analyst your focus will be on;Supporting customers in achieving their analytics goalsProviding first level analytics support and expertiseUnderstanding customer demands and devising analytics approaches to help them solve problemsAssisting in driving the development of the products through feedback and researchRequirements Excellent analytical, numerical skills with experience in statistical analysis and ability to wrangle data and integrate data from different sourcesStrong commercial instincts thereby in the best position to understand the business goal customers are trying to solve using data and guide them in the required directionA degree in a STEM subjectExpertise in SQL, SAS, SPSS and Microsoft Excel3+ years working as a data analystExcellent communicator with great confidenceKnowledge of machine learning and basic experience in applying it to solve data problemsExperience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Big Data technologies and in tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, Business Objects, Power BIStrong market knowledge of related technologies, including practical experienceConfident dealing with customers and excellent in engaging them with a consultative approachComfortable in a demanding and fast paced environmentWillingness to travelExpert ExcelDESIRABLE skills Advanced SQL skillsGood research skillsSalaryGBP40,000 to GBP55,000 (depending on experience) with a share options scheme after a qualifying periodStart DateImmediateLocationBased out of Massive Analytic's office in London, UKAbout Massive AnalyticMassive Analytic is a London-based analytics innovator, with patented world leading technologies and global big data heritage.
