Communications Officer

Salary: £26,077 pa + £1,200 pa Car allowance
Permanent 35 hours per week

Our client is a newly formed organisation, following the successful amalgamation of two smaller housing associations in April 2017.  It is an exciting time as they continue towards being fully integrated over the coming months and this work has created a number of new opportunities within the Communications & Marketing Team, based in Leicester.
They are looking for a highly motivated, creative Communications Officer to bring fresh ideas to an already established team.  Ideally with a background in social housing, you will assist in the development and delivery of their new Communications Strategies.  They really want to hear from you if;
You have a good understanding of social media platforms including Twitter, Vimeo, Vine, Facebook;

You have a familiarity with information technology, especially digital media;

You have the ability to take ownership and empower others.

An innovative thinker, and strong experience in a similar role, you will bring knowledge of communications and marketing, including social media use, which will help the new team set and deliver its objectives to ensure the customer remains at the heart of everything they do.
You will play a key role in communicating with their audiences, to raise the profile of their work. This will include working with traditional media, and the Digital Communications Officers in respect of digital and social media.
They recognise that people are at the heart of their business and that success is dependant on enthusiastic and committed colleagues.  They make sure they feel supported and encourage a culture of opportunity and learning to enable colleagues to fulfil their potential and make a real difference to people's lives every day.

In return for your commitment you can expect a competitive salary, generous holiday entitlement, pension scheme and employee discount scheme.  As a responsible employer they take the health and wellbeing of their colleagues seriously, and are currently implementing a comprehensive health and wellbeing programme.

These are exciting times for their organisation which is at the beginning of a new era and this is an excellent opportunity to join them on their journey.
