Our centralised Credit Control function in Leicester are looking to recruit a corporate, highly experienced Credit Manager. Our Role You will be responsible for the company's credit control and risk analysis policies with the goal of optimising sales with minimum bad debt losses. This role requires a high degree of commercial awareness in a company with a dominant sales driven strategy for accelerated growth. Experience of underwriting risk in a company that operates in multiple market sectors is preferential. Duties include: - Maintain our debtors ledger in line with agreed payment terms and credit limits as set by company policy and procedure. - Evaluate risk of potential clients / existing clients post consideration of both credit reference and credit insurance information. Setting applicable credit limits and payment terms. - Manage, lead and motivate a team of staff ensuring continual training is provided to ensure the department meets its goals and objectives. - Maintain the companies cash forecast for ongoing review and consideration by our finance director. - Evaluate and develop departmental KPI's based on in-depth time allocation analysis. - Manage the re-charge of all departmental costs to the business by providing transparent analysis of data. - Undertake all pre-legal action in line with legislation and credit policy. Instruct legal representation, work alongside such ensuring strict control of costs is maintained. - Consider the implications of non standard contracts as provided by both potential and existing clients liaising with sales and operational departments. Strong administration skills are required as is attention to detail and accurate data analysis/input. - The ability to liaise with clients/internal departments at all levels is essential to your success strong written and verbal communication skills are required. - Multi-tasking whilst working under pressure to strict deadlines is essential.
